What if the difficulty you keep trying to solve isn’t entirely yours? Many of the struggles we carry in our relationships, health and sense of self aren’t entirely our own – they’re inherited.
Join us for a day full of generational trauma theory, somatic practice and live family constellation therapy, understand what’s been passed down to you, and gently release it from your life.

What is a Family Constellation?
Sometimes we work very hard to change something in our lives. We read books. We understand ourselves. We talk about it. We try to think differently. We promise ourselves that this time will be different.
And yet, somehow, we find ourselves standing in the same place again.
The same relationship pattern. The same fear. The same emotional reaction. The same difficulty with family, money, belonging, intimacy or responsibility. The same feeling that something is holding us back, even when we cannot quite explain what it is.
What if some of what you carry began before you were even born?
Family Constellation offers a different way of looking.
Instead of asking, “What is wrong with me?”, we ask, “What is happening in the family system I belong to?”
And sometimes, that question opens a completely different door.
Maybe You Are Carrying More Than Your Own Story
We inherit much more from our families than a surname, eye colour or family recipe.
We inherit ways of thinking and emotional patterns – ways of relating, ways of responding to fear, beliefs about love, money, relationships, success, responsibility and belonging.
And sometimes, unresolved experiences from previous generations can continue to influence the generations that follow.
Family Constellation works with the idea that difficulties and emotional patterns can sometimes be carried across generations. Experiences that were never acknowledged, understood or resolved may continue to echo through a family system until they are brought into awareness.
You may not know the whole story of your family.
You don’t need to.
You don’t need to expose your deepest secrets to a room full of strangers. You don’t need to understand exactly why you feel the way you feel.
You simply bring the difficulty you would like to explore and some basic information about your family. Then the magic begins.
You Are Not Broken
This is one of the most important things to know before you come. You are not broken and you don’t need to be “fixed”.
Imagine a night sky. Every star has its own place. When we look at one star by itself, we see only that star. But when we see the whole constellation, we begin to see the relationship between the stars.
Families can be like that.
We are individuals, but we are also part of systems. We belong to families, relationships and generations, and sometimes we become entangled in patterns that are difficult to see from inside them.
Family Constellation creates a way to step back and look at the bigger picture.
Not to blame anyone. Not to decide who was right or wrong. Not to rewrite history.
But to see what has been hidden, acknowledge what needs to be acknowledged, and explore what happens when the family system moves towards greater balance.
We are all connected to a much bigger picture than the one we can see from our own position.
About Ronit Baras
As a happiness coach with 40 years of experience and a background in emotional intelligence, education, parenting, family dynamics and personal development, Ronit sees Family Constellation as a way of empowering people to understand themselves and take ownership of their lives rather than remaining trapped in the belief that their circumstances define them.
Ronit loves this work. It is gentle. It is respectful. It is non-judgmental and it can reveal something that ordinary conversation sometimes cannot.
You don’t have to fight yourself to change your life.
Sometimes you first need to understand what you have been carrying.
In Ronit’s retreats, she combine Family Constellation with her professional experience, lived experience, emotional intelligence, knowledge of family dynamics, educational philosophies and spiritual exploration.
Ronit doesn’t follow one method mechanically. She works at the meeting point between insight, experience and presence, allowing each process to unfold in a way that is respectful, non-judgmental and deeply human.

What Actually Happens in a Family Constellation?
This is the part people are often curious about — and sometimes nervous about. So, let us take away some of the mystery.
In a group constellation, one participant brings a difficulty they would like to explore. They sit beside the facilitator and share what they want to work on, together with some basic family information.
They then choose people from the group to represent relevant family members — and someone to represent themselves.
The representatives don’t need to know the family members personally. They don’t need to tell their own stories. They simply step into their roles and then something fascinating happens…
The person working on the issue can observe the process from the outside, while the representatives become part of a living picture of the relationships connected to the issue.
With guidance, the constellation unfolds. Hidden dynamics may become visible. Relationships may be experienced differently. Emotions may surface. New understanding may emerge, and the process moves towards acknowledgement, acceptance and release.
It can be powerful to watch a story that has lived inside you for years suddenly become something you can see from the outside.
You Don’t Have to Be the Person “Working” to Benefit
One of the beautiful things about a group constellation is that everyone participates and everyone benefits, including the facilitator.
You may come with a particular difficulty you want to explore. You may be selected as a representative or you may observe. All three positions can become meaningful experiences.
During the retreat, everyone takes part in different roles through mini constellations, and the group also works with one larger constellation.
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you are supposed to do. You will be guided. You simply need to arrive with curiosity and an open mind and healing the generational wounds will happen naturally.
This Is More Than the Constellation Itself
This is one of the things that makes Ronit’s retreats different.
She doesn’t simply bring people into the constellation and send them home.
Before the constellation, she gives you the theory and framework behind the work. You explore how beliefs, emotions, fears and difficulties can be inherited and how patterns can travel through generations.
Ronit also introduce her own “debt” theory, giving participants another way to look at the emotional responsibilities and loyalties we sometimes carry.
This introduction session gives you many tools to examine your life long after the retreat is over and allow you to understand the dynamic that is revealed throughout the day.
Then as a group you move into meditation and somatic practice, allowing the body to become part of the experience rather than relying only on intellectual understanding.
And after the constellation, we don’t simply say, “That was interesting. See you next time.” We integrate. We talk about what happened. We explore what you noticed. We look at what you can take from the experience into your own life. Because insight is powerful.
Insight that becomes part of the way you live can change the way you experience your life.
Your 6-Hour Family Constellation Retreat
A day to pause, see differently, explore what you carry and heal generational wounds. The full retreat is approximately 6 hours, and participants are required to attend the entire program, because every part of the day is essential for you to make the most out of the experience.
Here is what you can expect:
Understanding the Family System (1.5–2 hours) – We begin with the theory behind Family Constellation, including inherited beliefs, emotions, fears, generational patterns and Ronit’s “debt” theory.
Pause, Nourish and Breathe – There are breaks to eat, drink and stretch. Everyone brings a plate to share, creating time for food, connection and conversation.
Meditation – We slow down and create space for presence.
Somatic Practice – We bring the body into the process and explore its responses.
Mini Constellation – A short constellation experience involving the whole group. Again, no exposure required.
The Main Constellation (1.5–2 hours) – This is where we allow the deeper family dynamics to unfold.
Integration (1 hour) – We make sense of the experience and explore what you can take back into your life.
Bonus – Each participant receives Ronit’s inspiring book “In the Outback of Jasmine Banks“.
After the retreat – The week following the retreat participants receive an email with a summary of the points covered during the day.
A Small Group. A Deep Experience.
To enhance the experience the group is kept relatively small. A group needs enough people for the constellation to have depth, but not so many that people become anonymous.
Minimum: 10 participants in Brisbane, 15 participants if more than 2 hours away from Brisbane.
Ideal: 15 participants
Maximum: 20 participants
Would You Like to Host a Family Constellation Retreat?
You don’t need to wait for a public retreat.
If you have a group of friends, women, parents, colleagues, community members or people who are interested in personal development, you can organise your own retreat.
You provide the group and the space. Ronit facilitate the experience.
The room doesn’t need to be fancy. We simply need enough comfortable space for everyone to sit together — on chairs, sofas or the floor.
And because hosting is your contribution to bringing the group together: The host participates for FREE.

This experience may be right for you if you find yourself wondering: “Why does this keep happening to me?”
- Maybe you experience patterns in relationships that you don’t understand.

- Maybe you have tried understanding the problem intellectually but still feel stuck.

- Maybe there is something in your life you are ready to look at from a completely different perspective.

Or maybe you simply feel drawn to this work and want to experience it.
You don’t need to have a dramatic family story.

And you don’t need to arrive with a perfectly defined problem.
You just need something you are curious to explore.
What Can You Take Home?
Ronit’s Inspiring book ” In the Outback with Jasmine Banks”
You leave with a new understanding of an old problem.
You will see relationship differently.
You may recognise a pattern you had never noticed before.
You may feel a sense of relief.
You may discover a new question.
You may experience something emotionally powerful that continues to unfold for a long time after you leave.
And sometimes, the most valuable thing we take home isn’t an answer, it’s a different way of seeing the question.
Some participants report insights and changes unfolding in the hours, days, weeks and sometimes months following a constellation.
Every person’s experience is different. There is no promise that one retreat will solve everything in your life, but it will start a shift in your way of thinking. What we can promise is that you will have a safe, respectful space in which to explore what you have come to look at.
Family Constellation is a process
Family Constellation is a process. It is not searching for diagnosis, finding who is guilty and who is to blame. It will not tell you what you must believe, but will allow you to release emotional load carried from generations before you.
The philosophy behind this process consider each participant and every family member who is not present, as unique individuals with their own personal stories of pain suffering. Every story requires recognition, respect and compassion in order to be released so they won’t carry to the following generation.
Ronit believes that her role as a facilitator of this process, is to create a space where participants can look at their family stories with curiosity, compassion and courage.
You bring your life story, which you don’t even have to share, Ronit brings the experience, the framework and the facilitation. and together, we watch our families heal.
Ready to See Your Story Differently?
Your family story began before you. but that doesn’t mean you have to keep carrying everything that came with it.
We invite you to come for one day. Come with your questions. Come with your curiosity. Come simply to experience the process.
You don’t have to know what will happen. You only have to be willing to look.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Family Constellation?
Family Constellation is an experiential approach that explores relationships and patterns within a family system, particularly patterns that may have been carried across generations. In a group setting, participants use representatives to create a living picture of the relationships connected to the difficulty being explored.
Do I have to tell everyone my personal story?
No. If you are a representative, you share nothing at all. If you wish and is chosen to work on your challenge ,you share the difficulty you want to explore with Ronit and provide some basic family information.
The process does not require you to publicly share intimate details of your life.
Do I have to work on my own family?
No. You may participate as the person bringing an issue, as a representative, or as an observer. Everyone participates in different roles during the retreat.
Is it recommended to come with some of my family members?
Yes, It is very helpful to have some family members attending with you but not necessary.
If you bring a family member, during and after the session, you are all on the same page and have a common vocabulary and tools to continue the work of releasing generational wounds.
Participants who attend with family members find it extremely helpful and most of those who didn’t attend with family members, make an effort to encourage their partners, children, parents and siblings to join following workshops.
If you bring children to the session, they must be 16 years old and over.
What happens if I don’t know the other participants?
For the process to be powerful, knowing other participants is not necessary. Sometimes, meeting total strangers who represent family members they don’t know, sends a greater message of healing.
What if I don’t want to be a representative?
If you are chosen to represent someone’s family member, you will be asked if you are willing to take that part. If you feel it is not right for you, you can simply decline.
Do I need to know my entire family history?
No. Basic information such as whether your parents are alive, their place of birth, birth order, siblings, children and ages can be useful. You don’t need to arrive with a complete family tree.
What should I bring?
Bring yourself, comfortable clothes, water and a plate of food to share. There will be breaks for eating, drinking and stretching.
You are welcome to bring something to write with if you like, although no writing materials are required.
In the week following the retreat, you will receive a summary of information covered in the session.
How long is the retreat?
The standard Family Constellation Retreat is approximately 6 hours.
Everyone is required to attend the full program because the introduction, constellation and integration are all part of the experience.
How many people are in a retreat?
The minimum is 10 participants. The maximum is 20 participants. The ideal group size is around 15 participants.
For retreats held more than two hours from Brisbane, a minimum of 15 participants is required.
How much does it cost?
The cost is $97 per participant, paid in advance to secure your place.
If you are hosting the retreat and providing the space, the host participates free of charge.
Can I organise a retreat for my own group?
Absolutely.
You provide the group and the space, and Ronit facilitates the retreat.
The space can be simple. Participants simply need somewhere comfortable to sit together.
Is Family Constellation therapy?
The term “family therapy” is sometimes used in connection with Family Constellation, but Ronit prefers Family Constellation because its main focus is on family dynamics . It is important to note: the experience is not about diagnosing a family as having a problem or “fixing” broken people. As we said before, No one is broken!
It is more about releasing the entanglements that were created in the family space over generations and the result of this work is healing, getting insight, taking responsibility, and empowerment.
What if I have more questions?
Please contact Ronit. She will be happy to answer your questions and help you decide whether a Family Constellation Retreat is right for you.
